PRESS RELEASE April 2024 – English

RAMCO with Renewed Trust from Equinor, Contract Worth 120 million NOK Annually

Ramco, specialists in the preparation, inspection, surface treatment, and preservation of OCTG (oil country tubular goods), has secured a long-term contract with Equinor. This provides us with stable employment and strategic growth opportunities, says CEO Arild Moe, from the headquarters in Florø, Norway.

«Ramco has been awarded 80% of the volume of oil and gas pipes running from Equinor at Fjord Base in Florø to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). From Sandnessjøen and Hammerfest, we have been allocated 100% of the volume. This means we are establishing a new department at Polarbase in Hammerfest, a supply base for oil and gas activities in the Barents Sea. It’s strategically important for us to be close to the Barents Sea, where the growth will occur,» Moe emphasizes.

Long-term contract
With headquarters in Florø and operating bases in Stavanger, Sandnessjøen, and soon in Hammerfest, Ramco provides services to all major operators and pipe manufacturers. Ramco has been preparing pipes for offshore operations for over 25 years, and with today’s new contract, they are guaranteed work for the next 5 years, with an option for 2 + 2 years. That means until 2033. This is important for us as a company and especially for our 110 employees and the local communities in which we operate.

Renewed trust
This is the third time Ramco has entered a long-term contract with the energy giant Equinor. We can look back at good cooperation since we signed the first contract in 2008. We see renewed trust as a signal of high quality in the work we deliver.

Stability and development
We operate in a competitive market and have gone through a turbulent time with the pandemic and global unrest. The long-term contract with Equinor ensures us stability, enabling us to invest in our employees and facilities. We have constantly built on our expertise in preparing pipes for the oil and gas industry and are committed to develop the technology further. Our goal is to ensure cost-effectiveness, safety, and sustainability. We look forward to further development and creating jobs along the entire Norwegian coast, from Stavanger to Hammerfest.
